Loon is a mobile app for shops, service businesses and growing teams. Start from the problem you have today: selling, stock, getting paid, your books, or your team.
Ring up cash, M‑Pesa or card in a couple of taps. Each sale updates your stock and your books and can go to the customer as a receipt.
Loon counts items down as you sell and warns you before something runs out, so you reorder in time instead of losing sales to an empty shelf.
See who owes you and how late, send a reminder in one tap, and set up customer loyalty points and rewards so repeat customers are rewarded.
Keep sales, expenses, bills and invoices in one place with VAT worked out, and export a clean record for your accountant at tax time.
Give each employee their own login and role, tag people to a branch, and switch between your businesses from one account.
Ask Loon answers from your own records and shows the numbers behind each answer. It is in development and not yet available to everyone.
Loon is aimed at small and medium businesses, startups and growing teams, mainly in Kenya. These are examples of how different businesses use the same tools.
Fast counter sales, stock that counts down, and a view of what sold each day.
Record services as well as products, track regular customers and what they owe.
Watch fast‑moving stock and spot items running low before they run out.
Quick sales on a phone, with staff logins so you can see who recorded what.
Run several businesses under one account, with team members tagged to branches.
Replace spreadsheets and notebooks with one shared set of records and roles for the team.
These solve different problems, and many businesses use more than one. Here is where Loon fits.
Odoo is a broad, modular business suite that organisations typically configure and extend for their own processes. That flexibility suits larger or more complex operations. Loon is narrower by design: a phone‑first app with sales, stock, customers, staff and finance ready to use, aimed at owners who want to be recording sales the same day without an implementation project. If you need manufacturing, a full accounting department or heavy customisation, an ERP may suit you better.
A business account from a bank or other licensed provider holds and moves your money. Loon does not. Loon records what happens in the business, such as sales, stock, bills, invoices and customers, and works alongside whatever bank or M‑Pesa account you already use. Loon is not a bank, and we are working on payment features with licensed financial partners, subject to agreement and approval.
A spreadsheet works until the same number has to be typed in three places. In Loon, one sale updates your stock, your books and your customer's balance together, and your employees can record sales from their own phones.
